Applications

Green hydrogen meets electrified chemical manufacturing.

The platform is being developed around an initial benzaldehyde application, with a broader pipeline of value-added electrochemical processes.

First target application

Hydrogen + benzaldehyde in one electrochemical process.

Hydrogen is produced at the cathode while benzyl alcohol is selectively converted into benzaldehyde at the anode. The objective is to create two saleable products from the same electrical current.

Customer value

Designed to improve total process economics.

Paired electrolysis targets a stronger business case than hydrogen-only operation by replacing a low-value anode product with a marketable chemical.

01

Two revenue streams

Hydrogen and a chemical product can contribute to the economics of the same production asset.

02

Renewable-electricity route

The process is intended to support lower-carbon production when operated with renewable power.

03

Cleaner chemistry positioning

The target route is being designed without chloride-containing oxidants and with reduced reliance on stoichiometric oxidants.

04

Industrial integration

The platform may fit chemical parks, hydrogen projects and distributed specialty-chemical production.

Platform expansion

Beyond benzaldehyde.

Servarray is developing a reactor platform rather than a single-purpose process.

Future applications may include other alcohol-to-aldehyde conversions, biomass-derived oxidation reactions and the electrochemical production of lactic acid or lactate salts from glycerol.

Each application will be selected based on electrochemical selectivity, product value, feedstock availability, separation requirements and customer demand.

Target customers

Built for industrial partners.

Our initial focus is on organisations able to validate the technology, define product requirements and support pilot deployment.

Specialty chemical manufacturers

Producers seeking electrified, lower-carbon routes for benzaldehyde and other high-value chemicals.

Green hydrogen and industrial gas companies

Developers seeking improved hydrogen economics and additional value from the anode reaction.

Engineering and technology integrators

Partners capable of industrial design, system integration, manufacturing and deployment.

Chemical parks and refineries

Sites with integrated utility systems, product offtake and opportunities for hydrogen use.

Research organisations

Laboratories with electrochemistry, analytical, materials and prototype-testing capabilities.

Strategic investors

Investors and corporate partners supporting deep-tech validation, scale-up and market access.

Commercialisation

Two complementary routes to market.

The final model will be selected based on pilot data, customer demand, capital intensity and project economics.

A

Technology, equipment and services

Commercialise the process through equipment sales, licensing, engineering, commissioning, maintenance, technical support and future system upgrades.

B

Own production assets

Build and operate production facilities and sell green hydrogen and high-value chemicals directly to industrial customers.
